It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
Directed by Kate McShane
December 11, 12, and 13
Note: MCT is an all-volunteer nonprofit that has been producing theater in the area for over forty years. This year, we need your help. Our volunteer designers, actors, and administrators fund the organization through live performances and our annual Trivia Night fundraiser. We have cancelled all of our live in-person events this year in the interest of safety. MCT is determined to weather the COVID crisis and create as much safe programming as possible. During the pandemic we have posted storybook readings for children, appeared at socially distanced charity functions, co-produced a charity performance, and produced a fully staged streaming play. We will persevere no matter what challenges we face. Please give generously to help us remain strong and viable during this challenging time. We are eager to see you in person at a show as soon as it is safe to gather!
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. MCT's version of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will be recorded without a live audience by Joel Limbauan at the Variety Club Recreation Hall. The recording will be streamed on December 11, 12, and 13, 2020. Ticket information will be available soon.
